Rangeley Snowmobile Trails Report – 2/2/1012

We have picked up several inches of snow over the past five days.  We continue to be one of the few areas in Maine with good snowmobiling conditions. Trails are Open and groomed on a regular schedule.  Conditions range from fair on a couple trails to Good to Very Good on most trails.  There are still thin spots, bumps and dips so use caution

Mother Nature is once again and again fickle! We expected big snow Friday and got only a few inches.  There was however, very heavy traffic over the weekend.  The response to the Tri-State Reciprocity Weekend was amazing.  Plus, we continue to be one of the few areas in Maine with good snowmobiling conditions, so there were lots of trailers in town.  Trails are Open but may be icy in places.

Rangeley Lakes Snowmobile Trails Report – 1/29/09

SNOW & WEATHER REPORT:  Base depth (MEASURED IN Oquossoc): 34”. We received 10” of snow yesterday and today. We expect partly cloudy conditions and near normal temperatures right through the Weekend.

TRAIL CONDITIONS:  All trails are open. Conditions could not be better. Trails will be a little soft for a couple days until our groomers can firm them up.  Grooming is in full schedule and trail riding should be very good.  Get out early for the best riding conditions.  Be careful near the trail edges and off trail.  We now have about 3 feet of soft snow off trail.  It is not fun to be buried and have to dig your sled out.
