Rangeley Lakes Snowmobile Trails Report – 4/1/09
Final report of the 2008-2009 season. Grooming has ended for the season.
SNOW & WEATHER REPORT: Base depth (MEASURED IN Oquossoc): 24â€. We are into spring weather with temperatures above freezing by mid-morning and below freezing as the sun sets.
TRAIL CONDITIONS: There is little or no snow left on the approaches to Rangeley and Oquossoc. The lakes are wet. There is plenty of snow on the trails and back country logging roads north of Rangeley. These areas should be ridable into at least mid-April. Be considerate of the landowners when you ride on plowed roads or park your trailers. Bosebuck Camps plans to be open through April 5th for food, lodging and gas. Other access points may be in Adamstown, Langtown, at Route 16 in Oquossoc (maybe) and near Loon Lake. [Read more...]

SNOW & WEATHER REPORT: Base depth (MEASURED IN Oquossoc): 34â€. We received 10†of snow yesterday and today. We expect partly cloudy conditions and near normal temperatures right through the Weekend.
TRAIL CONDITIONS: All trails are open. Conditions could not be better. Trails will be a little soft for a couple days until our groomers can firm them up. Grooming is in full schedule and trail riding should be very good. Get out early for the best riding conditions. Be careful near the trail edges and off trail. We now have about 3 feet of soft snow off trail. It is not fun to be buried and have to dig your sled out.
