Ski-Doo X-Team Racers Sweep Arctic Man Competition

Ski-Doo X-Team rider Tyler Aklestad and skier Marco Sullivan won the Arctic Man Skiing/Snowmobiling competition for the second year in a row this past weekend. The pair finished the course in a blazing fast four minutes and 4.8 second and reached a top speed of 80.6 mph. Alaska’s HooDoo Mountains play host to the annual Arctic Man competition that consists of a skier or snowboarder teamed with a snowmobile rider.

Maine Pilot Experienced Spacial Disorientation Before Fatal Accident

Game Warden Had Flown Out To Assist A Colleague Who's Snowmobile Broke Down The NTSB has issues a probable cause report in an accident in which a public use airplane went down in a snow squall in March of last year. The game warden/pilot had flown out to assist a colleague who's snowmobile had broken down on a frozen lake, and the weather deteriorated during the return flight.

Snowmobile enthusiasts looking for a way to protect their vehicles from theft now have a new option in the marketplace. A BRP Ski-Doo snowmobile was selected and adapted by Clarkson University to win its second straight Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) Clean Snowmobile Challenge . Ski-Doo models were also chosen by the second and third place teams in the internal combustion category and the winner of the Zero Emission category

Snowmobile collision seriously injures Scarborough man

Robert Verge, 61, is in serious condition at Eastern Maine Medical Center. The other snowmobile operator, Lawrence Salamone, also 61, of Gorham, is charged with operating under the influence.
